Chief Executive Officer

Ed holds a B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering degree from WITS University and has extensive executive leadership experience spanning 30 years, specialising in technology companies.

Managing Executive Delivery

Colin has been with Nexio since October 2016, starting as Contract Executive through to his current position of Managing Executive Delivery. He brings over 25 years of Service Management experience to Nexio from both the client and the service provider aspects. His client experienced was gained over 13 years at Sappi culminating in 5 years as General Manager Outsourcing and Infrastructure.  He then joined Dimension Data leading key managed service contracts in the Financial, Mining and Manufacturing sectors over a nine-year period.

TAKALANI MAVHUNGA

Chief Financial Officer

Takalani joined us as CFO in 2018 with a decade’s experience in senior finance roles. A qualified Chartered Accountant with a value-based leadership style, Takalani also serves as treasurer of the board for an NGO that works in  mathematics, science, technology and entrepreneurship education.

Executive Head of Human Resource

Dakalo Kangala is the Executive Head of Human Resources for Nexio and reports to the Chief Executive Officer. Dakalo has experience in the financial services industry having started her career at ABSA. She has held various roles across the HR value chain in Vodacom South Africa including being an organisational effectiveness and change management lead before fulfilling HR Analytics and Business Partnering roles.

Chief Sales and Marketing Officer

Garth has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, starting at Dimension Data in 1999. He has held various roles over the
years including sales and running business units, such as the Bid office which fell under his responsibility as Sales Director, as well as the Consulting Service BU for SAP Project Services.

Executive Head of Commercial

Christo Bezuidenhout is the Executive Head of Commercial for Nexio and reports to the Chief Executive Officer. Over the years, Christo has held various roles within Vodacom and Vodafone being the Finance Business Partner for Vodafone Global Enterprise for Middle East and Africa. Christo has been in ICT industry since 2001 and comes with 19 years of experience in both the South African and international markets.

Social Investment

When it comes to CSI, we’re especially proud to have a long heritage of making a difference to the youth. With our company’s focus being on health, welfare and education, we target these areas by leveraging its key resource: technology.

For instance, we provided equipment for Botshabelo, a Midrand-based charity and place of safety accommodating 600 children, so that learners at the organisation’s Urban Edu Centre can access quality education using laptops and tablets. We also support the Botshabelo Uplifted Teacher Training Programme, providing free IT services to teachers to hone their skills.

Our relationship with the Christ Church Christian Care Centre is another case in point, having built two computer centres and donated groceries for children either orphaned, affected by HIV or hailing from child-headed households.

We strive to ensure that our activities make a positive contribution to education enrichment and community development. The focus of our spend will continue to be on increasing access to technology, broadening technical horizons and increasing potential employment opportunities for the youth of today.
